Food Shelf Support

Partnering with 400 food shelves to share nutritious, culturally connected food and co-create solutions to hunger.

Record Food Shelf Demand

Demand for food assistance is at an all-time high due to rising food costs, inflation, and systemic barriers to food access. Changes to programs like SNAP and Medicaid are adding to the pressure. We partner with food shelves to ensure they have the resources to meet rising need in their communities and keep fridges full for local families.

Learn More About The Need

Coming to the food shelf keeps me healthy… I’m a diabetic. All the food I get is always good from the food shelf. I can eat healthier foods; it keeps me alive.

Sharing Nutritious, Culturally Connected Food

The Food Group shares nutritious and culturally connected foods so that everyone can access food that reflects their culture and dietary needs. From production to sourcing to distribution, we ensure that the food we supply matches the community we serve.

Sourcing from Local Farmers

We invest in local farmers wherever possible. By sourcing food from 50 local producers and farmers for our food bank and affordable grocery programs, we are fighting hunger and building a stronger food system for years to come.

The Food Group believes in food equity. They believe in culturally specific foods. They believe in meeting people where they are at. And most of all, they believe in dignity.
The Food Group Volunteer and Donor
“It’s a great connection, because [The Food Group] has a lot of our culturally specific foods that we really try to incorporate… it’s just the touch of home when you’re in a place of insecurity and you’re hungry.”
