Big River Farms is a land-based farmer training program near Marine on St. Croix where emerging farmers access land and resources and gain hands-on experience growing organic food.
Our training programs are intentionally designed to support immigrant, limited resource, and historically underserved individuals.

Balancing Classroom and Land-Based Learning
Our Big River Farms programs offer a balance of classroom and land-based learning, so farmers can build skills with peers and experts before growing their own food. Farmers also gain firsthand farming experience through apprenticeship with a local farmer or by managing their own farm at Big River Farms.
