As a recipient of food from a Minnesota TEFAP food program, you have the right to:
- Get food free of charge without giving a donation, paying, or working.
- Be provided with clear policies and procedures for receiving food.
- Have someone else pick up food on your behalf.
- Access translation or language services in the language you choose.
- Receive food without discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, martial status, or place of residence.
- Confidentiality. We will not share or sell any of your personal information.
- Be treated with dignity and respect.
- Get food at any food shelf you choose in Minnesota, without having to prove where you live or your nationality.
- Make choices about the food you receive.
