We’re a full-service food bank supporting food shelves and meal programs across the Twin Cities metro and Tribal Nations statewide. As a partner, you get direct access to:

Bulk Purchasing

Shop our online market for healthy staples at below retail costs. We stock fresh produce, frozen meats, culturally connected foods, and household essentials—and offer free delivery in our service areas.

Free Food & Supplies

We know budgets are tight. Whenever we receive donated food or supplies, we pass them directly to you at zero cost.

Hands-On Support

Think of us as part of your team. You can use our office tech (printers, laminators, computers), join our quarterly partner meetups to swap ideas, or call us for help with grant writing, volunteer coordination, and marketing.

Once submitted, our team will review your application and reach out regarding status. If the partnership is a mutual fit, we’ll schedule a site visit to begin onboarding.

Eligibility & Getting Started

Do you work with local and start-up groups?

Yes! The Food Group is an independent food bank that works with all types of agencies. We’re here to connect, foster voices in new places, and build a more equitable food system with our partners. 

Is it free to be a partner?

Yes, it’s free! We ask partners place at least 1 order per quarter and sign an annual Partner Agreement with The Food Group 

Can we use more than one food bank?

Absolutely. We encourage our partners to take advantage of all food resources.

What products are available?

We offer fresh produce, frozen meats, culturally connected foods, and hygiene and household necessities — all below retail prices. When The Food Group receives food and in-kind donations, we share them with our partners at no cost. 

What are culturally connected foods?

Our food bank offers foods connected to the diverse cultures in Minnesota. If you are interested in new items please let our Anti-Hunger team know what your community is looking for. 

Other General Questions

How often can we get food? Is delivery free?

Partners can receive food weekly, twice a month, or once a month. Delivery is FREE on all orders. To help keep our transport costs sustainable, orders closer to 400 lbs are greatly appreciated.

Are there more ways your team can support my agency?

We host quarterly partner meetings to network, learn, and share best practices. Our team is also happy to visit your site, brainstorm to solve problems, and help you access resources on volunteer coordination, marketing, fundraising, cultural responsiveness, and more.
