Easy Sirloin Steaks

Ingredients
- 2 11 oz. Thousand Hills sirloin steak
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
- 4 tbsp butter (softened)
- ½ tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, extra for garnish)
Instructions
-
Pat steaks dry with paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
-
Add oil to large pan and heat over medium high heat.
-
Place steaks in the hot pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, adjusting time to your desired level of doneness.*
-
While steak is cooking, combine butter, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper in bowl.
-
Transfer steaks to cutting board or plate to rest for at least 5 minutes.
-
Serve with a dollop of butter and garnish with additional herbs.
Notes
*Use a thermometer to cook steaks to your desired level of doneness. Remove steaks from heat a few degrees before you reach your desired temperature since they’ll continue to cook as they rest.
