Easy Sirloin Steaks

Ingredients

  • 2 11 oz. Thousand Hills sirloin steak
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
  • 4 tbsp butter (softened)
  • ½ tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, extra for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat steaks dry with paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Add oil to large pan and heat over medium high heat.

  3. Place steaks in the hot pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, adjusting time to your desired level of doneness.*

  4. While steak is cooking, combine butter, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper in bowl.

  5. Transfer steaks to cutting board or plate to rest for at least 5 minutes.

  6. Serve with a dollop of butter and garnish with additional herbs.

Notes

*Use a thermometer to cook steaks to your desired level of doneness. Remove steaks from heat a few degrees before you reach your desired temperature since they’ll continue to cook as they rest.
