Lisa Holsten is a strategic finance executive with more than 25 years of experience across corporate and nonprofit organizations. As Director of Finance at The Food Group, she leads financial strategy, operational oversight, and fiscal stewardship to advance the organization’s mission to eliminate hunger and build food justice. She is inspired by the organization’s commitment to equitable food access and is dedicated to aligning strong financial leadership with meaningful community impact.
Previously, Lisa served as Director, Operations – Nonprofit Controller at All in One Accounting, advising nonprofit leaders and boards on budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting. At FamilyMeans, she led financial operations during a period of organizational transition, strengthening internal controls and financial reporting. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly 25 years as Corporate Controller for Smarte Carte, Inc., where she directed accounting operations, implemented automation initiatives, and enhanced safeguards within a highly cash-intensive environment.
Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
