Warehouse Technician
This position will be under supervision of the Warehouse Manager to ensure day to day warehouse operations and responsibilities are carried out and fulfilled. They will be responsible for order selection, inventory movement and tracking, warehouse organization, operational support of volunteer groups and all shipping/receiving activities. This role will also be accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse. This position’s shift will operate between the hours of 7am and 4pm Monday through Friday, depending on the day’s activities, with some flexibility. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
HelpLine Coordinator
The HelpLine Coordinator is responsible for connecting individual callers to public assistance programs, food resources and providing relevant referrals to partner organizations. This role is important to ensure that the Minnesota Food HelpLine responds to callers and partners in a timely fashion and that those responses are tracked and included in regular reporting. This position reports to the HelpLine Specialist and has no direct reports.
Grower Program Instructor
The Grower Program Instructor position is based at our farm in Marine on St. Croix. This position provides training and support to beginning farmers enrolled in the Big River Farms land-based program. The Grower Program Instructor primarily focuses on classroom and in-field training of a cohort of new farmers entering the program. This position will manage a market garden training plot, educational curriculum, program participants and volunteers. This position reports to the Big River Farms Program Manager.
Agency Relations Specialist
The Agency Relations Specialist will serve as the primary contact for Partners (e.g., food shelf, meal program, and community food distribution partners). This position will help coordinate and support the programming to ensure that all TEFAP-eligible (The Emergency Food Assistance Program, a federal program of the USDA) comply with federal regulations and provide client-centered, culturally appropriate, and dignified services for people to access food.
Development Specialist
The Development Specialist is part of the Advancement & Culture department and supports the development goals and strategies of The Food Group. Key responsibilities include donor stewardship, individual giving and grant support, gift entry, and event planning support.
