Each year, The Food Group distributes The Minnesota Food Shelf Program (MFSP) grants in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) to nearly 300 food shelves and Tribal Nation partners across Minnesota.
The Minnesota Food Shelf Program (MFSP), sometimes referred to as the “state grant”, is a one-time-a-year annual state-funded grant, as described in the MFSP state statute 256E.34, available to non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status and Tribal Nations participating in The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP).
